    • When translated to thickness per layer pair, the steady-state increment per layer pair is approximately 400 A, about 10 times the increment for the PAH/PSS layer deposited from 1 M salt (ref 6). This demonstrates the importance of the polyelectrolyte type in determining the ultimate film thickness.
