The aqueous solution of SH-PVA copolymer or its suspended gel (6.1 w/v %; 200 μL) was added to 2.0 mL of 1.0 mM 5,5′-dithiobis(2-nitrobenzoic acid) solution (0.1 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4). After 30 min incubation at room temperature, the absorbance of the solution was measured at 412 nm using a UV/vis spectrophotometer.
