It is shown that the polydispersity index in such system is equal to 1 + p, where p is the probability of propagation. So, for long polymer chains (i.e., p → 1), the polydispersity index approaches 2, but it is obvious that for short polymer chains (i.e., p ≪ 1), the polydispersity index will be less than 2. However, the polymers formed in the present investigations are long enough to satisfy the condition that p ≈ 1.
