    • In principle, the full polarization vector, i.e. the magnitude and the orientation of the linear polarization, can be determined directly by fitting a cos 2Φ function to the continuous angular distribution of the multi-pixel events. However, such a procedure is not practical because the measured distribution displays structure due to the discrete pixel pattern of charge clusters. Collecting events into large enough angular bins smoothes over such structure without loosing much information.
