The amount of DMDO was monitored by iodometric titration and GC analysis of aliquots previously quenched with dimethylsulfide. The reactions in absence of oxygen were carried out under argon atmosphere with degasified solvents. For reactions under oxygen this gas was used instead of argon. Colored glass Schlenk tubes were used to avoid the presence of light. All reactions were analyzed by GC and GC-MS using authentic samples in the identification of the products.
