Single crystals of these two radical salts were obtained from the electrochemical oxidation of neutral BET in the presence of the tetraethylammonium or tetraphenylphosphonium salt of the corresponding anion in a chlorobenzene-ethanol mixture. The intensity of the current was held at 0.7 mA and after 2 weeks shiny black needle-like crystals were carefully collected and air dried at room temperature

In particular, the resulting D value is overestimated since antiferromagnetic dipolar interactions have not been taken into account in the fit of the magnetic data. In fact the D parameter must be seen as an effective one that accounts from the single ion anisotropy and that from dipolar Fe-Fe interactions. Explicit consideration of this last effect in the fit (through a Curie-Weiss parameter θ) results in a reduction of D, without modifying the J value

4 anions has recently been reported. However, in this case short Cl⋯Cl contacts have been seen that are the origin of this magnetic coupling: J. A. Ayllon, I. C. Santos, R. T. Henriques, M.
