    • Preliminary studies on the Mitsunobu azidation of 1,1,1-trifluoro-, 1-chloro-1,1-difluoro-, and 1,1-difluoro-3-[(4-methylphenyl)sulfinyl]propan-2-ol showed that the corresponding vinylsulfoxides are formed as the main products, the azides being formed in low amount, if any.
