Epilepsia 1995, 36:687-691. This single-blind study in children shows remarkable efficacy of vigabatrin in various seizure types.
49. Uldall P, Alving J, Gram L, Hogenhaven H: Vigabatrin in childhood epilepsy: a 5-year follow-up study. Neuropediatrics 1995, 26:253-256. This is the longest follow-up in a series of children treated with vigabatrin. A 50% or more reduction in seizure frequency was achieved in 40% of the children at 1 year. This was maintained at 5 years in 23%.

Epilepsia 1996, 37:638-642. This is the largest reported series of infants with infantile spasm who received vigabatrin as their first treatment. The results were excellent, and the response was very rapid.
