This paper and [21,22] provide three examples of studies that have used the monoclonal antibody 407 to study the distribution of a laminin α1 chain. However, the nature of the basement membrane antigen detected by the 4C7 is uncertain. It is uncertain whether or not 4C7 reacts well with the laminin α1 chain. The interpretation will require the identification of the epitope.
