J Clin Oncol 1995, 13:961-968. Twenty-four patients with PTLD had a median survival of only 5 months, whereas 10 patients remained alive with a median follow-up of 37 months. Most of the surviving patients were treated with anti-B-cell antibodies, which may be efficacious in patients refractory to immunosuppression reduction or chemotherapy.

Eight of 19 patients with PTLD received chemotherapy, and 75% of these achieved complete remission. The authors conclude that ProMACE-CytaBOM therapy is effective in patients with monoclonal PTLD refractory to reduce immunosuppression.
