34. The original publication of the HLA G cDNA derived from the BeWo choriocarcinoma cell line (4) contains an editing error. Repeated sequencing of the modified expression vector showed that the gec codons at amino acid positions 247 and 248 were duplicated. There is only one gac codon here, translating to one D instead of two in the original publication. Consequently, the numbering of the rest of the amino acids changes by one.
