β-[β-C-carbonyl(N-acetylglucosamine)]-2,3-diaminopropanoic acid) were synthesized as the necessary aminoacyl-pdCpAs and tested for incorporation at sites 44 and 82 in T4L using unnatural amino acid mutagenesis.
