Falkovich and A. Larraza, unpublished). However, it is not clear that shocks were present in the experiment of Foster and Putterman.

In that case, their prediction is that the Gaussian attenuation is modulated by a Bessel function of zero order. Because we are interested in linear relaxations of a far off equilibrium state, we chose to investigate only the quasilinear approximation.
