    • The "disordered" or weakly disturbed environment resulted from a random distribution of defects, located within several interatomic distances from the radioactive probe, with low interaction frequencies that yielded small EFGs. In contrast, the "amorphous" or highly disturbed environment was manifested by high interaction frequencies, large EFGs and the rapid convergence to the hard core value. The PAC spectrum for the latter was characteristic of a high frequency distribution of significant width -periodic modulations were not observed for times greater than ∼15 ns due lo the convolution of the multiple frequencies.
