    • 1H NHR spectroscopy from the HTPA(Mosher's acid) ester of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethanol(Solketal) could be accomplished and, besides, in some cases like leucic acid methyl ester and leucine methyl ester, low reactivity (<50% yields) of MTPA due to inherent congestion in molecule toward derivatization might induce the kinetic resolution, a crucial demerit for the original ee calculation.
