It should be pointed out that the second-derivative terms make their spectral contribution at the second-harmonic frequency rather than the fundamental frequency, have a different frequency weighting than the first-derivative terms, and may be affected differently by damping as well. The combined use of the first-derivative PWDOS and second-derivative PWDOS to calculate spectra will be the subject of a future publication
