Apart from comparing the product and byproduct peaks to the standard peaks under identical conditions, their authenticity was further confirmed by comparing their mass spectra with those of the actual compound in the spectral library. These solutions were later precisely analyzed for PPM levels of Pd at our analytical lab using the wet ash method in an ICP-MS instrument.
