The transfer of a solute from oil to water is equivalent to the difference of the solubility of the gas solute into water and oil, or the difference in solvation free energy of a solute in two phases. Thus in this paper, we concentrate on solvation processes, from which the transfer free energies between the two solvent phases are calculated.
