19. In Refs. 10 it was erroneously concluded that the soliton mode induces a gap in the diffusive mode spectrum. This is, however, not consistent with the boundary conditions. Rather, the soliton gives rise to a complex spectrum corresponding to propagating modes. The analysis is in fact quite equivalent to the work on flux depinning by N. Hatano and D. Nelson, Phys. Rev. Lett. 77, 570 (1996), and will be elaborated on in future work.
