〈τ〉 at 0.3 mM was slightly shorter than those observed at higher concentrations, probably due to exciton annihilation by high-intensity pumping for the measurements, since the emission intensity was extremely weak. We suppose that the fluorescence lifetimes does not change appreciably at room temperature.

The radius of the curvature of the probe tip used was several tens of nanometers. As seen in Figure 7a, wide ditches (dark regions) compared to the size of the tip are observed occasionally. Thus, the height measurement of the islands is concluded to be conducted accurately since the results imply that the tip reaches the mica surface.
