    • At λ=953.9 nm, the quantum efficiency (QE) of the RCA 7102 photomultiplier tube (S-1 response) is approximately 0.185%; at λ=532.1 nm, the QE of the Hamamatsu R105 tube (S-4 response) is around 4%. The ratio of the two is 0.185%/4% = 0.04625 meaning that, at the relevant wavelengths, the RCA tube is about 20 times less sensitive than the Hamamatsu tube.
