33. 25 undergoes a 1,2-boratropic shift to form KL*. In our experience, the nature (fresh or aged) of the ligand employed in reactions does not influence the products and their yields. Rather, facile ligand rearrangements ensure the formation of the least sterically encumbered product compatible with a particular coordination sphere, viz., the products appear to be under thermodynamic control.
