    • The problem of determining the full electromagnetic and gravitational perturbations of Kerr from the corresponding Newman-Penrose fields (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) (or (Formula presented) and (Formula presented)) was solved in the case of source-free radiation fields. See R. M. Wald, Phys. Rev. Lett.41, 203 (1978), and references therein. Here, however, the situation is more complicated, because we are dealing with perturbation fields with a source.
