For a 64-mer polyethylene, the renormalized chain C-1,4,7 will have an equivalent length of 22 carbons in contrast with 21 for the C-2,5,8 or C-3,6,9 chains, thus, leading to a different equivalent number density. The C-1,4,7 chain is hence not included in the C-2,5,8 set.
