    • The resolved enantiomers (-)-7 or (+)-7 have the tendency to crystallize as racemates. Crystallization would have given a certain enrichment in the mother liquor, but the crude enantiomers (-)-7 or (+)-7 were further converted as such, because they had sufficient enantiopurity, as deduced from the ee-values of the final Georgywood enantiomers (-)-1 or (+)-1
