Confocal microscopy in ocular chrysiasis
-
Lopez JD, del Castillo JM, Lopez CD, Sanchez JG: Confocal microscopy in ocular chrysiasis. Cornea 2003, 22:573-575. A case report using confocal microscopy to demonstrate the presence of gold deposition in the mid-stroma of a patient 9 years following drug cessation. The relative scarcity of deposition in the posterior stroma, the typical site for gold deposition, suggests earlier clearance of the deeper layers following drug cessation.
