Fluconazole appeared equally effective against Candida albicans and non-albicans Candida species.

Antimicrob Agents Chemother 1995, 39:40-44. In-vitro results of the trial described in [31], showing that there was no good correlation between clinical outcome and in-vitro sensitivity testing. This does not indicate that these tests are without value, but rather reflects that multiple factors determine the outcome of these patients.
