1. A Treatise on the Venereal Diseases of the Eye, p.306. An earlier writer, Thomas Howson, described a case of mild iritis in a boy, six, years of age, who had suffered from infantile syphilis, and who presented "painful enlargements in the centre of both tibice." (Observations on the Ophthalmia Accompanying the Secondary Forms of Lues Veneres, 1824, p. 107.) The symptoms yielded entirely to mercurial treatment.
