    • This article is based on our 1998 report, Digital Futures: Women's Employment in the Multimedia Industries, which presents the findings of a national survey of patterns of training, skills, income and employment of women working in the multimedia industries in Australia. The research was commissioned by for the Women's Research and Employment Initiatives Program of the Australian Commonwealth Government Department of Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs and based in the Australian Key Centre for Cultural and Media Policy, Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. The report was first published through the Department's web site and can now be accessed via the Australian Key Centre for Cultural and Media Policy, Griffith University or by emailing the report's authors: Gillian.Swanson@btinternet.com and P.Wise@mailbox.gu.edu.au
