15. After the measurements on the pristine Rb, the oxidation of the Rb was done by just warming up the cell to (formula presented). The Pilling-Bedworth ratio for the Rb oxides are (formula presented) so the oxide surface is not strained and does not buckle. This means that the oxide surface should have the same morphology as the pristine Rb.
