(US), National Mutual Holdings (Australia), and a majority stake in Sun Life & Provincial Holdings (UK); Deutsche Bank (Germany) purchased Morgan Grenfell (UK); Barclays Global Investors acquired Wells Nikko (a Japanese-American joint venture); Dresdner Bank (Germany) owns Kleinwort Benson (UK), RCM Capital Management (US), and the Thornton Group (with UK and Hong Kong operations); and AMVESCAP plc (UK) has announced its intention to acquire the Asset Management Division of Liechtenstein Global Trust AG which includes Chancellor LGT Asset Management (US)
