This reference provides the van der Waals radii for the elements, except for carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen, where the Pisa group experience with the best radii for PCM treatment of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms is taken. These radii are 1.7, 1.6, and 1.5 Å, respectively. All radii are subsequently multiplied by the default value of alpha of 1.2.
