1. There are extensive manuscript sources for this subject. Clerical correspondence in the Tanner manuscript in the Bodleian Library, Oxford, offers a great deal to the historian of religion, as do the Harleian and other manuscripts in the British Library. For the Nonconformist perspective, two sources in Dr Williams's Library, London, are indispensable: the letters of Richard Baxter, now calendared by Keeble and Nuttall (see below under Baxter 1991) and the 'Entring Books' of Roger Morrice, soon to be published in five volumes by an editorial team under the leadership of Mark Goldie.
