BMC Infect Dis 2015;15:380. One of the first studies to evaluate clinical outcomes (30-day mortality) according to treatment thresholds for a DRP prediction score, in this case the Shorr MRSA score. This study showed that in patients with 0-1 points, adjusted mortality was actually increased with anti-MRSA antibiotics, with no difference for intermediate scores, and lower adjusted odds of mortality for MRSA-targeted therapy at threshold of at least 6.
