39. The resin used was purchased from Sigma (p-Alkoxybenzyl Alcohol Resin 0. 69 mmol per g resin, Cat. # A3039) 9. 3'-Th = 3'-Thiophene adduct, 2'-Th = 2'-Thiophene adduct and 3'Fu = 3'-furan adduct.
40. All reactions were monitored by IR and gel-phase 13C NMR. Gel-phase 13c NMR spectra were obtained in CD2CI2.
