Note that a time-domain study of late-time tails of massive scalar fields in black hole spacetimes has been performed before using a Teukolsky code very similar to this one (just in different coordinates) [5]. That work demonstrated that the late-time tail of massive scalars with axisymmetry, in both Schwarzchild and Kerr spacetimes is the same, i.e., t-5/6.
