The prices of zinc dust, 98% (cat. #209988) vs. tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(ii) chloride powder (cat. #224758) in the Sigma-Aldrich® catalog were compared. It was assumed that 0.05 mol% of ruthenium catalyst was used (this loading was also only documented with one substrate), 3 or 400 mol% of zinc dust for each respective substrate.
