    • Synthesis of propargylphosphorylcholine (PPC): PEPP (1.62 g, 0.01 mol) and 20 mL of MeCN were added into a 50 mL high pressure heavy wall vessel. After the bottle was cooled to -20 °C, trimethylamine (0.012 mol, 1.01 mL) was rapidly added into the vessel. The heavy wall vessel was closed and allowed to warm to room temperature. After heating at 40 °C for 24 h, the reactor was maintained at -20 °C overnight. After removing the upper layer liquid, the crude PPC was washed with cold MeCN and dried in a vacuum. PPC was obtained as a white powder at an isolated yield of 96%. (Liu, L.; Lee, M. E.; et al. Phosphorus, sulfur Silicon Relat. Elem. (2014), ID: GPSS-2014-0175.R1).
