J Should Elb Surg. 2006;15:736-42. This biomechanical study shows that a complete subscapularis tear is a contra-indication for LD tendon transfer as the LD tendon may dislocate the humeral head anteriorly. It is in accordance with most of the published clinical studies where subscapularis complete tears are associated with lower results after LD tendon transfer. (Pubitemid 44779362)
