The Act is expected to come into force by April 2006 and will, amongst other things, repeal five existing statutes - Human Tissue Act 1961, Human Tissue Act (Northern Ireland) 1962, Anatomy Act 1984, Corneal Tissue Act 1986, and Human Organ Transplants Act 1989.
