    • Note that in the presence of the substrate surface, there is a correction factor to reduce the self-diffusion due to the surface effect. Because we do not know the exact distance between the nanosphere and the substrate surface, this effect cannot be exactly accounted. At best, we can only state that the free self-diffusion coefficient estimate serves an upperbound of the self-diffusion coefficient if we assume the no slip boundary condition. See - 270
