    • Abhay Pethe points out that in the model there is indeed a theoretical upper limit to FSI. This would happen when urban land rent falls to the level of agricultural land rent. However, since the city by this time is fully built up, and the land below it more or less solid concrete, reversion to agricultural use is no longer a viable economic alternative. So in the model as it stands there would effectively be no upper limit on FSI
