Another possibility would be to implement a lower threshold as given by the rectified diffusion threshold that can be calculated analytically as outlined in F. R. Young, Acoustic cavitation. in Cavitation (Imperial College Press, London, 1999). The results differ only in a few aspects from the results presented here. The distributions are less inclined and appear slightly shifted to larger bubble sizes. Nevertheless, the major aspects we focus on in this paper are reproduced.
