Under Fire NDC Chair Says His Comments Sought to Strengthen Judiciary
-
note
-
In response to a string of court decisions opposed by the ruling party, NDC chairman Kwabena Adyei declared at 2011 press conference that the judiciary would be subjected to a "purge" if the chief justice failed to initiate certain measures. When pressed to detail how the threat would be enforced, he said "There are many ways to kill a cat. " See Nathan Gadugah, "Under Fire NDC Chair Says His Comments Sought to Strengthen Judiciary, " Myjoyonline News, 14 September 2011, http://politics.myjoyonline.com/pages/ news/201008/50911.php.
