    • Bradley does not mention these geographical facts in his attempts to explain the time difficulties of the play either (see A. C. Bradley, Shakespearean Tragedy (London: Macmillan, 1919), 401-6). Rather he considers it highly unlikely that Hamlet has been at Wittenberg in the recent past. This leaves him with the difficulty of explaining Hamlet's request to return to a University he has not sat in for years.
