    • For BABF, the calculated linear refractive indices and birefringence are in good agreement with the available experimental results, but the calculated SHG coefficient is much smaller than the experimental value. Considering the accuracy of the first-principles calculations on the borate NLO crystals, we suspect the current experimental measurements on the SHG coefficient of BABF and suggest that this value should be re-determined, as indicated in
