It should be mentioned that a more general analytical treatment would require the use of the dipole-exchange theory for cylindrical elements. In this case, spin-wave modes with a finite wave vector along the symmetry can lie below the FMR frequency according to the ratio between the cylindrical radius or width ring to the exchange length and the surface pinning condition.
