While there are numerous ILO conventions that have included disability as part of their focus, such as ILO C159 Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Disabled Persons) Convention (1983), the focus on disability has rapidly increased since the adoption of the UNCPRD in December 2006 by the UN General Assembly.
