Most economists argue that most if not all of employer premium contributions are paid for by workers through reduced wages, but firms probably bear at least some of the cost for extended periods of time, for it is difficult to adjust wages perfectly and quickly in the face of somewhat unpredictable health insurance inflation. Thus, we assume incidence is shared between workers and employers.
