    • The term "narrative medicine" has been made popular in the field of medical humanities, particularly over the past ten years. While many are working with story (in its many iterations), Dr. Rita Charon, of Columbia Medical School has been influential in framing the field. I am interested in the roles of story and storytelling in health care as well as in medicine. Therefore, I am more comfortable with the terms "narrative health care" and "health care humanities. " Truthfully, I am most comfortable with the terms "story" and "storytelling. " One of many useful resources for health care humanities and narrative medicine and narrative health care is the NYU Database: litmed. med. nyu. edu
